Karen Sabag

was born in Israel and moved to the United States at 11 years old. Starting at an early age due in large part to a mother in the business, Karen graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and had launched a bridal and couture busines before she graduated.

In 2007 while still an undergraduate at FIT Karen Sabag won the prestigious first prize in the Kleinfeld-FIT bridal contest where she competed against 800 other entrants. She also won best in the show at the Supima Fashion Competition for Emerging Designers in January 2009. Her winning design was an exquisite wedding gown made of Albini shirting. The fabric company was so impressed that they have taken the gown to Milan and Paris to exhibit at their fabric shows. Since her graduation Karen has been showing her designs off collection after collection during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion week. Karen's impeccable eye for detail utilizing Intricate hand beating, crochet and detailed adornment sets this designer apart as an emerging superstar.
